Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Aydın Opens Solo Watercolor Exhibition at Osh State University
20 April 2026
The solo exhibition titled “Fictional Spaces” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Aydın, Vice Head of the Department of Painting, consists of watercolor works that reinterpret the concept of space through memory, experience, and imagination. The artworks featured in the exhibition present familiar yet transforming spatial narratives to the audience by reconstructing houses, structures, and urban fragments.
Shaped through layered surfaces, fluid stains, and the use of translucent colors, the works render visible the variable and multiplying structure of space rather than its fixed nature. The fluidity provided by the watercolor technique establishes strong bonds between memory, belonging, and spatial perception in each piece.
The exhibition approaches space as a mental and emotional experiential area by creating a visual line of thought extending from individual living spaces to urban memory.
