Solo Exhibition “Caddecode” by Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Korkmaz
The solo exhibition titled “Caddecode,” prepared within the scope of a project led by Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Korkmaz, a faculty member of the Balıkesir University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Printmaking Arts, opened to art enthusiasts.
Bringing together computer-aided visual production tools and traditional printmaking techniques, the project aimed to develop innovative production methods by exploring the possibilities of utilizing digital technologies in printmaking. While the historical structures of Balıkesir were chosen as the subject matter during the project, works produced through digital sketching, an illustrative narrative language, and textured surface applications were presented to the audience at the exhibition.
Offering significant outputs from both artistic and academic perspectives, the project put forth original examples regarding the hybrid use of traditional and digital techniques, while drawing attention to the new forms of expression that digital tools provide to the art of printmaking.
