“Material, Production, Process” Talk Held at the Faculty of Fine Arts
Balıkesir University Faculty of Fine Arts added a new event to its activities aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary interaction in art education. Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Canbolat from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, met with our students in a talk titled “Material, Production, Process.”
Held in the Faculty Art History Hall, the talk focused on the influence of material selection on the creative process in ceramic art, the reflection of production techniques on aesthetic outcomes, and process-oriented approaches in contemporary ceramic practices. Participants had the opportunity to closely examine the relationship between material, concept, and form through examples from the artist’s own production practice.
At the end of the event, the Dean of Balıkesir University Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Selvihan Kılıç Ateş, thanked Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Canbolat for her valuable contributions and stated, “The development of art is enriched through the sharing of diverse experiences and production processes. Such gatherings broaden our students’ artistic perspectives.”
Balıkesir University Faculty of Fine Arts plans to continue bringing together academics and artists from various fields of art with students in the upcoming period, fostering exchanges centered on production, process, and artistic thought.
