UNIT RISK COORDINATOR

Unit Risk Coordinator and Duties

• The Unit Risk Coordinator determines the Sub-Unit Coordinator, if any, and ensures that the names and contact information of the relevant members are reported to the Administration Risk Coordinator.
• Coordinates the identification of risks that may affect the unit's workflows and provides guidance. Matches identified risks with activities by utilizing the knowledge and expertise of sub-units, if any, and ensures all significant issues are addressed.
• Reviews the risk registers and related reports determined in annual periods and reports them to the Administration Risk Coordinator.
• Monitors the risks reported by Sub-Unit Risk Coordinators at the Unit level. Evaluates changes in existing risks and new risks, if any, and reports them to the Administration Risk Coordinator.
• Presents findings on whether previously identified risks or those that may arise during the year are well managed to the Administration Risk Coordinator annually via a consolidated risk report.
• Provides feedback to Sub-Unit Risk Coordinators, if any, in line with the opinions, recommendations, and decisions of the Administration Risk Coordinator and the Internal Control Monitoring and Steering Committee.
• Provides the information and documents requested by the Administration Risk Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Identifies training needs related to risk management and reports them to the Administration Risk Coordinator.
• If deemed necessary, may form sub-teams to take part in risk studies. Requests these teams to report the risks they identify regarding the Unit's activities, those with changing risk scores, and the effectiveness of the applied controls.
• Responsible for the execution of all tasks carried out by the affiliated units.
• Coordinates the implementation of action plans for the identified risks of the unit. Also responsible for the monitoring and reporting of action plans and ensures their coordination.

SUB-UNIT RISK COORDINATOR

Sub-Unit Risk Coordinator and Duties

• Fulfills the duties of identifying, evaluating, responding to, reviewing, and reporting risks at the sub-unit level.
• Reports newly identified risks related to the sub-unit's activities, those with changing risk scores, and the effectiveness of the controls used to mitigate them to the Unit Risk Coordinator in periods determined by the Unit Risk Coordinator, in accordance with the university's risk strategy.
• Consolidates information coming from employees.
• Obliged to provide the information and documents requested by the Unit Risk Coordinator.
• Identifies training needs related to risk management and reports them to the Unit Risk Coordinator.
• Involved in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of action plans for the identified risks of the unit and coordinates them.

*When the administrative duty ends, the newly appointed person is assigned.
